Locked out of the gardens.  They open the gates at 7:30 am

The jogger

I got the lowdown on the tan.  Apparently the idea is to run...  Preferably fast

The station

12PAof2020 - January theme: Shoes

This is my take on the theme for January of shoes.  I was riding my bike down the Eastlink trail and saw a pair of converse all stars.  This was taken while I was riding with my mobile and has a nice segue into next months theme of shadows...

On this day - 26th of January

Australia day and what better thing to do than visit the Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka (MADE) near Ballarat.  This is what is left of the magnificent Eureka flag on display there.  You will note that bits are missing.  This is because the local authorities gave pieces as souvenirs to visiting (mostly British) dignitaries.  There is nothing that shows the contempt that Britain had for Australia in the early days than this,

On this day - 25th of January

Penny and I visited Goolwa in South Australia to watch the Old Wilunga stage of the tour down under.  While there we spotted these magnificent pelicans in flight.

Commuters in the rain

All with one goal....  To get to work

Swanston street in the rain

We have had the gamut of weather this summer. Heat, cold, fire and today was rain.

Giorgio

I love taking photos on rainy days...  The colours, reflections makes for all kinds of awesome

The morning victuals

Breakfast this morning was this awesome cinnamon porridge.  This was how it was delivered to my table courtesy of Humbaba in Dorcas Street...  Yum!

On this day - 23rd of January

in 2014 I had my first foray into slow shutter release photography.  I purchase a variable density ND filter and went to the beach early in the morning.  All the images were overexposed.  I cleaned this up.

On the beach

I love images like this, the blue of the sky, green of the water and light coloured sand...  Minimalism at it's best.

On this day - 22nd of January

in 2017 it was all about tinfoil...  :)

SCCM PXE boot error “Windows Failed to start Status: 0xc0000001”

For my regular readers...  If you do not know what SCCM is then there is no need to read further :)

I recently came across this error at a site that I am working at and decided to document the root cause

For the background.  All computers are entered into SCCM using the name that the computer will be and either the MAC address or UUID.

In my troubleshooting of this error I found no help in the smspxe.log file.  It implied that the PXE handoff was a success.  Basically WinPE was failing to boot immediately after the PXE server completed verifying the device..  What I eventually discovered was that.  The computer was not a member of any collection associated with a deployment Task Sequence and hence had no boot image assigned.  I have since created a collection and assigned a task sequence that is assigned automatically to all known end user devices.

I spent an hour on this so am posting it both for my benefit and to save others the time searching.  Note this should only occur when you are attempting to image a known computer.

Just to note that his also applies to MECM "Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager"

At the movies

Actor Lawrence Hewson on the set of "A Beautiful Request" at Greville records.  He plays a counter guy...

On this day - 19th of January

last year we had a curious cat in the house...  Say hello to Bonnie

Alone on the tan

A solo runner on the tan early in the morning

Sunrise over the silos

Crossing the Morrell Bridge yesterday morning and captured this woman capturing the same sunrise.

The crossing

I have walked past this crossing by the Yarra river here in Melbourne and I have to say that it has never really registered with me.  It is the ordinary that becomes extraordinary.

The flower

This flower was quite large for a daisy.

On this day - 18th of January

In 2014 it was all about slightly out of focus 8 balls.  I would like to say that it was out of focus on purpose.  For every good image there can be lots of bad ones.  Usually you only see the good ones.

The walkers

Another for my cinematic series

Word of the day - Snap

A quick behind the scenes snap while out taking pictures some time ago in Jells Park

Waterfall

Well I never.  On my walk from the station to work this morning I discovered this waterfall in the Kings domain.  This worked well for hand held.  I must go back with a tripod

Word of the day - Empty

So take a look at me now
Well there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me
Just the memory of your face

On this day - 15th of January

in 2015 I took a photo of a couple of my favourite things...  My Breedlove acoustic guitar and my dot couch...

Raindrops on roses...  What are your favourite things?
