One of the things that really brings history alive in Tasmania is the convict brick trail in Campbell town. This documents all convicts that were deported from England to Tasmania, along with some that never made it. Each convict has a brick in the main street of the town with their name what they did to get deported and their sentence. The punishments were very harsh. I deliberately removed the focus from the bricks in the first image as the monument is not about any one person
